Difference between Super Lesser and Lesser Pied
I am tossing a lesser pied (who has the typical brown "helmet) to my group of albino females, thus producing lessers and normals double het. albino pied. My plan is to holdback everything and if you think about the pairing of lesser dh x lesser dh you will notice there are alot of different morphs going on. My main question is how will I be able to tell the difference in the super lessers and the lesser pieds (if they have no markers). Thanks in advance!

Sounds right to me but i am no expert:confused:
Re: Difference between Super Lesser and Lesser Pied
I sat right next to a 100% white lesser pied at the last show and didn't have time to get a really good look. I thought though that the pied white was supposed to be even cleaner than the homozygous lesser white? Cool problem to have so good luck on that breeding!
Interesting you mentioned the "typical" helmet. The breeder I sat next too produced I think it was three lesser pied this year and all of his where 100% white. Just curious, do your normal pieds tend to be high white or low white? Maybe the difference between 100% white and 98% white lesser pieds is the pied line? I always liked the helmet on the spieds so would be tickled pink with either variety.
