if u go by the 10-15% rule it is a lil too big but its not overkill. i have fed some big meals before and they were fine. just give them a lil extra time to digest it

Then id skip it. that size rat is all most adults 1000g+ ever need.

    That size i feed 25-30g rat pups/weans

A 1000gram ball should easily be eating a 100gram rat no problem weekly.
A 344 gram ball should be eating rats in the range of 34.4-51.6 gram range.

This is a small weaned rat. The girth is no bigger than the largest part of her. It's probably about 4-5 inches long. But It did weigh in at 64-65 grams.

u should pretty admit about feeding it to her, I have a 4 snakes that are all 3-400 grams and Im about to move them to small rats but they are taking down 2 mice every 5 days. let us know how it goes.

I'd try it...they won't eat anything that's big enough to be bad for them so she won't hurt herself. If she eats it, fine, if not wait til you have something smaller.

You go ahead and try that. And shall see when your snakes decide to fast for months from massive meals. Ball pythons do not do well on the this so called 10-15% rule someone came up with. No one knows what a snakes nutrition needs are. But I and many other give out the advice that is KNOWN to work and keep them feeding more consistent.

They do better on smaller prey items more often. My snakes eat year round no fasting and fed nothing over 80 grams once they are over 1000g.

i wouldn't offer anything larger than 45g. A larger meal is taxing on the digestive system
