Loose skin around neck...
Is loose skin around the neck something to worry over? Her body (ball python, a year almost) is heavy and girthy, body wise... she's eating regular size mouses, but ever since her bad shed a few days ago, her neck skin is real loose it seems...
I put her in a container with 1/2 inch lukewarm water and a towel for a hour, and seemed like most shed came off... but her neck skin is still stuck on, and I don't like bothering her (nor do I know what to do to get it off...)
I fed her twice this week and I will continue to do so....
No other part of her is loose... she looks really healthy size wise. I don't have a scale or I could tell you a weight.
SO I GUESS my question is... how can I get the unshedded skin on her neck off? I tried having her move thru the towel but she doesn't like that... so i just kinda rubbed off what I could after the soak...
Re: Loose skin around neck...
Hi,
I suspect the wrinkles are caused by the stuck skin.
I would soak her again and have another go at getting it off. They generally aren't that keen when it comes to their head and neck it has to be said.
