    Nobody's hungry???
Well except the baby. He tried to take off my hand!

Feeding day today, F/T for everyone. Chumley hasn't eaten the past 2 weeks, still no interest in food. Sweet Dee usually gobbles her's down within an hour but she didn't even come out of her hide. Precious looked excited at first but turned up her nose and Charlie didn't even care!!!

Guess I'll try again next week but man, these kids try my nerves sometimes, I can't afford to be tossing out rats all the time!

I know how you feel, girl. The two I rescued go off feed every November like clock work. And my new boy took one meal for me the week I got him, which I was really excited about because he's so undersized, and hasn't taken anything for me since. :taz:

I'm attempting to re-freeze this week but I've always been worried about that. I've done some reading and gotten mixed reviews on refreezing

As long as it hasnt been out too long its generally fine. Next time u thaw it out.... i wouldnt refreeze. keep in mind everytime you refreeze and thaw it out it breaks down the mouse/rat. So yes it may not be as "nutritious" for the snake.. but its just one not so nutritious meal. Better then tossing em out.

Me i have a few non feeders. i thaw out.. try to feed them first if no go i give it to another instead of thawing 2 out and one not eating

Yeah, I thought about doing that and might have to switch to that even though it will be more of a hassle for time if they DO eat. The hardest problem I have right now is my living arrangements. I'm with my grandparents right now and Grandma is NOT cool with having frozen rats in the freezer, so I pick them up that morning and then feed Friday nights or pick them up late thursday and feed friday morning. I've had my eye out on CL looking for a little freezer just for snake food but no luck just yet.

well my male is on a diet of his own design.

he went off feed of rats (PK) beginning of nov. because i would rather a belly not growling over an empty one.

he's been eating (mind you he's 1000 grams) 2-3 lg mice since the third week of october.
i feed him every 4 days. he's pooping regularly and not gaining weight, but not loosing it either.

so if you get to the point as i did, live mice will kill the hunger strike every time.

all 5 of mine have refused a meal once or more, and the second i remove the rat and throw in the live mouSe,

    its dead.
