    Chlorhexidine solution
I recently bought 1 gallon of 2% chlorhexidine with the 1 ounce dispenser and I read on the container than when dilluting it for a skin rinse to mix 1 ounce with 1 gallon of water.

I seem to remember reading here that for cleaning enclosures someone had said to mix 1 ounce in a 16 ounce spray bottle and use that to clean enclosures but I was not sure.

Can someone please let me know the proper mixture for cleaning enclosures?

Honestly for me, i just fill up my 32 oz water bottle and put in a little bit of Chlorhexidine till the solution is a light blue.

Don't go too crazy with chlorhexidine since it is expensive, but honestly since it works by contact time, a dilited solution left for 5 minutes would sanitize better than a stronger solution.

I use 1oz to a gallon jug of water and then just refill a squirt bottle from that gallon as needed. I have the gallon size of Chlorhex as well and at this ratio it appears I will have it near forever. I do use it pretty much daily though when doing spot cleans. I love the stuff.

I use a cap full for a regular sized spray bottle and the solution turns a light blue. It is best not to mix too too much in advance as it looses its "ump" after a couple of weeks. Also when using to disenfect a would be sure that you are also dilluting it so that it doesn't sting.

Chlorohexadine is the best stuff in the world...we LOVE it.

I mix mine up weekly and I just pour some in a little spray bottle and then put my distilled water in. I don't personally measure anything. I buy my gallon jugs from here: http://vetamerica.com/chlorhexidine-...-2-gallon.aspx
