    Is this a Fire??
OK, need your help with a situation I find myself in. I purchased this baby a few months ago as a Fire female (before I learned all of the things to look for ) locally from a seller on CL. After further investigation, I believe this is not a Fire, but the individual I purchased her from swears up and down that it absolutely is. What's your opinion?

If it is a fire it's veryyy low quality but I highly doubt that it's a fire.
    Looks 100% normal!
How much did you pay for her?

Looks like a nice normal, I'm not seeing fire in there.
People who sell normals with head markings often like the think their fires, but there are other things to look for.

Ask the breeder what the breeding was. Unless he bred a super fire, he probably mixed up a nice normal with a fire.

I respectfully decline to answer on the grounds that I'm embarrassed enough, I don't need to add fuel to that fire

It is not a fire, fires have a very light coloration, a headspot and they have clear bellies.

Only the dam was Fire, not the sire....

When I get home I'll get some good pics of a fire next to a normal and you can see the difference.

Oh, I've got a male Fire that's almost two years old...the argument the seller is using is that they lighten up as they get older. If you've got ones of hatchlings next to normals though, that would be great! :D

These along with yellowbelly's can be very hard to tell the difference sometimes where the markings may not be as strong as a very good example of the morph. I would email the person who sold the snake to me, be nice and tell them they have improperly id'd the snake as a normal and it is not.

This isn't a matter of an unhealthy snake, it's what you paid for, you unfortunately did not get.

My male is a bit bigger than that, I'll take a picture of mine now.
