Shed Problem-head wont come off
Hey guys, sorry to bug you with such an annoying introduction post...but... for the last two years I've been keeping snakes I have never had a problem with a shed that I could not help-and I've only ever had two problems amongst my 11 snakes).
Anyways, I have a baby cornsnake that shed about two weeks after getting him(charcoal morph) and he retained the shed on his head. His eye caps have come off but the rest of his head is still there. I have tried moist paper towels, extra humidity box, wet wash clothe rubbed on his head, etc.
Anyways, anything I might have over looked? Some sage advice is very much needed!!! Thank you all in advance!
oh, and if he keeps it til his next shed, what is the worse that can happen???
Re: Shed Problem-head wont come off
Thanks for the advice, we did try everything youve said short of trying to peel it off. We have rubbed his head with warm wet paper towels, and it seems he may just be like this until his next shed....like you said the eye caps are off and we talked to the breeder we got him from yesterday about it. And she said not to worry as well, lol. At least now there is a post where anyone else with this problem can see that it is not a dire situation...but until we god some feedback from you and our breeder we were a bit worried.
