    My first bite!
Ok, some of you may remember how freaked out I was about getting bitten. Well, it finally happened. The week before Halloween I ended up getting really sick and having my gall bladder removed. This stuff started on a Tuesday, feeding day is Wednesday, so it was the following Wednesday before I could feed again. I was in the hospital until Saturday. So on Tuesday I went in to check on the snakes (I was in too much pain before). Every one was fine except for my sweet heart (pain in the butt) Ranen. He's always been a feisty one. When I first got him, he would strike the glass every time I walked by. So when I opened his cage, he had shed (badly), had dirty water and poop every where. I needed to clean his cage so he could eat the next day. He was out of his hide and instantly went into strike mode. I had to pick him up to clean his cage, so when I did he tagged me. It didn't hurt a bit. I can't believe what a wimp I was. I tried to get pictures. There was a little blood but the flash whitened it out. He got me between two of my fingers. So there ya go. He's a puppy once he's out of his cage. But before then, watch out! He'll probably get me again.

Most people are more scared of the bite than the pain or blood that results. It's kind of the shock factor of getting bit.

For me i just go in and grab them, if they bite me oh well, I'll get over it. If i don't' hold them and continue to put them down every time they bite me, the snake will only be conditioned to bite to be left alone. So just suck it up and don't worry about it.

Oh yeah, your definitely NOT the only one in the bite club!!
