I have a local guy near me offering me 6 2000 gram proven ready to breed normal females for $500. Does that sound like a good deal?

Not a bad deal at all. Just make sure that they're actually females.

    Hi,

Have you asked yourself and him why he is selling 6 breeding sized females at the start of breeding season?

Have you checked him out on the BOI?

    Have you read this article?

Yeah that's actually an AMAZING deal, and why in the world would he sell them for that cheap. I'm also one of the people who would worry about those adult females not being good breeders. They could have been power-fed and produce 90% slugs, so you take that risk buying cheaper adult females.

No hes a good guy, I"ve done business with him numerous times but I"ve only ever bought males from him. Hes got 15 extra normal females that he is replacing with double co-dom girls this year. I was just curious if that was a good deal or not. I've never bought girls in this amount before esp breeder sized. but thank you guys for the input and the heads up

That's a NICE deal--check him out. If he's fine, and he's just retiring all his normals to work with female morphs instead, then grab them.

Just remember to quarantine properly. (I quarantine for a year).

Maybe the guy just doesn't need a bunch of Normals anymore...

Every adult snake that comes up for sale isn't because it's a POS! These days breeders are constantly upgrading Normals and even single gene Morphs for animals with more genes...

Just like any other transaction do your home work on the snakes before you buy them.
