Flame?

Just had a guy near me contact me about a BP he needs to rehome for $60.00 female and $40.00 Male. He claims they are Flames, waiting for him to e-mail me pics. I'll post them here when I get the pics and get ya'lls opinions.

There is no such thing as a flame morph. 'flames' refer to a visual characteristic common on many ball pythons where there is a light patch inside a dark area starting from the bottom which is reminiscent of a candle flame. Saying that the ball python HAS flames would be correct, saying that it IS a flame is not correct.

It does have some "flames", but hard to tell anything else from that pic. Ask for a belly/head pic.

Well now there IS a morph called a fire.

They are usually much lighter than normals, have a lot of yellow, a reduced pattern, a light head and a clear belly.

They can be difficult to distinguish from a light normal, but I can tell you this, NO ONE is going to let a Fire bp go for $60.

no one in their right mind would give fires away for 60 or 40 dollars, he is lying, and they don't even look like fires, tell the guys he full of it and stay away

sounds like he is just mixed up. at least he's not trying to scam you into buying a normal for morph prices.
