    Some dinkers
I got these two females as Wildcaught babies in the past couple of years. The larger of the two is going this season, and I am probably going to just put her to a Norm. or het male of some sort. I really love her stripe sided belly and overall look. Now for the smaller female. She is very light colored, and we named her pearl for her eyes which look like two black pearls. I am probably going to put her up with a enchi or a pastel male when she gets of size. I guess the best part about dinkers is the limits are up to the imagination. Even if nothing comes of them I still love the patterns. Enjoy the pics.

Dinker is a ball python that shows a trait that is desirable, but not proven genetic. To explain it a little further. Lets say you have a ball python that has a trait you really like. You breed the ball python to another ball to see if the trait is inheritable. This is what a dinker is, simply a trait that is unproven that someone wants to tinker with.

When someone has a snake (particularly a ball python, but I suppose the term may be used with other reptile species) that looks a little special or different from the "norm"....but is not obviously an already identified morph...they are often referred to as "dinkers".

"I think I'll dink around with this one in some breeding projects and see if it throws anything special."

Those are some beautiful girls, and worthy of any breeding project! :D
