Spending time on the floor?
I just picked up a beautiful (unsexed) crested gecko from the Phoenix reptile expo this last weekend. It's probably just the new species quivers im getting but she seems to always be on the floor day and night. Usually under the paper towels. Im was thinking in the day she was just trying to get out of the light but i always read that they are pretty active at night. Hopefully someone will just tell me im over thinking this and just let the little creature settle in. Ha. Do yours stay on the floor or are they usually hanging around in the branches and such?

Same with mine. I have little containers as hides for them, my adult uses his, but the baby doesn't. He's a pig so once it's dark in the room and we're not in it, he'll go out and about (Always hitting the food first!). But if we have any light on in the room, he'll stay in the hide til the light goes off and we leave.
Our baby though, she's not shy at all and will watch us all night. She's always out after night. (I call 'it' a she for hopeful thinking ;) )
It really just depends on what kind of gecko personality you're workin with :)
