well my male pastel is just over 1000 grams and is a little less than a year old(11months)
and he's eaten once every friday since i got him.

granted, he is also my garbage disposal and has sometimes eaten on or two mice when my little ones wouldn't eat.

but he doesn't look fat. very healthy i think.

Some just grow a lot faster, I have a one year old mojave female, went from 68 grams to 1600 from August 09 to August 10. Feeding her once every 5 days on just straight ASFs.

If you can see skin in between the scales then the snake is overweight, if not your golden.

800 Grams in one year isn't that big of a gain..its pretty average.. I've got 1 year old females that are 1200 grams and that's from one rat a week.. I think you're fine.. :gj:

Yeah no worries, my male het Pied went from 200 grams to 1000 grams in 11 months, and he never refused a meal. Some snakes just grow like crazy and some snakes don't grow fast no matter what you do.

ok, thanks to all, Iam just afraid because what i have read in the internet that overfeed may shorten snake lifespan

have a few 08's that are under 1k grams and I have a few 09's that are pushing 1k grams. Just depends on the snake.
