Spiny!
So I have a pinstripe and am going to get a 2nd reptile.
I love spiny tailed iguanas do they make good pets.
I am willing to build or buy a cage.
If not tell me some lizards that would be good

Re: Spiny!
Bearded dragon or mali uromastyx may be better choice for pets. Nice personalities..... And you wouldn't have to build a cage. Either would do nicely in 40gal breeder (36x18x18" min). Uromastyx are pretty much vegetarian too. And both get to be a fairly good size - not huge, but pretty big relatively speaking. Just a thought.....

Re: Spiny!
I had a spiny many years ago I got as a rescue with MBD. It was one of the coolest lizards I've ever had! If you work with them they can be pretty awesome.

I have a normal iggy and not sure if their personalities are the same or not. With that being said....iggys are difficult at best. I have a rescue and let me tell ya.....I am bitten at least on a bi-weekly basis.....and thank god he is still pretty small. I work with him on a daily basis and have been since July. He is still very leary of everyone. Not to say they all are...but for the most part iggys can do serious damage. Then you have the difficulties when they go into mating season. If you have a male they tend to get extremely aggressive. A large iggy can take a finger off.
Again I am not sure how spiny igs would compare to regular but just a warning. Know what you are getting into with iggys. They are NOT for inexperienced or for someone with young kids. (my son is 10 and not allowed to handle the iggy unless I am there)

If you have the room, a Black Throat monitor or Blue Tegu
