    So Far This Season . . .
    . . . I've had two locks! :)

    Super-bright ~1300-gram Pastel Male X my lightest/cleanest ~3100-gram Normal Female:

~1300-gram Spider Male X ~1550-gram Orange Ghost Female:

And a local friend, Sandy (quiettempest on here ;) ) and I are doing a couple of joint projects this season. The following pics are hers, as I am providing both of the boys for the projects, so I loaned my animals to her for pairing. ;)

~1600-gram blackback 100% Het Albino Male X Albino Female:

(I'm not sure if this guy's blackback is genetic or not--out of the two clutches he has sired with normal females for me, 3 of 16 total eggs resembled him strongly, and two had quite a bit of black backs. Sandy and I both are kinda crossing our fingers hoping that he'll pass that on to an albino. ;) )

~600-gram ('08 hatchling) Piebald Male X Het Piebald Female:

We're hoping this pairing shapes up this season. The male has never bred before. When I got him back in March of this year, he only weighed 270 grams. Since March, he's up to around 600 grams and already producing sperm plugs, so we have high hopes that he produces for us this season.

CONGRATS! :gj: That's a nice combo, Spider x Ghost! And a very nice looking pastel.

    Good luck,

Too bad the spider is not a het ghost. ;) But at least this pairing will produce some het ghosts, so hopefully there will be a male spider. :snake: Perhaps then I can go for the honeybee. LOL But at least I'm finally to Phase 1. It was killer waiting for the female to get large enough.

Haha, don't feel too bad--it's still early in the season. I've been pairing both the spider and the pastel since the beginning of October. The pastel finally locked for the first time this past weekend (he'd never been bred before), and the spider had been paired numerous times with one other girl (a normal) so far this season, but the only one he locked with was the ghost. I'm not complaining, though! The spider/ghost pairing was the one I really wanted this season. ;)

Nope, they are Animal Plastics cages. Back when I started the hunt for stackable cages, everyone had good things to say about AP's quality and customer service, and they were spot-on. I've gotten such a good product and great service from AP that I've never even tried anything else. I have a hatchling rack and 6 stackable cages from them. More stackables will come in time, but since they're pricey, that time is pretty slow. LOL
