    Gaging size of food to size of BP??
    Hi
    I was wondering is there a good way to tell what size mouse is good for the size of you Ball python?
    Is it by the size of there body? I have a BP that is about 5 months old and is in the fattest part of body the size of Half dollar can he eat a mouse the size -width as that?

    Generally you feed a rodent the same width as the thickest part of your snake. Or some go by the rule of the rodent weighing about 10-15% of your snakes weight.

    What Saber2th said. Sometimes you can get away with a tiny bit bigger around than your snake, but it shouldn't be something where you see it and automatically know it's bigger than your snake. Just approximation.
