    Fire Belly Toad question?
I just got two fire bellied toads tonight and have them set up in their habitat with eco-earth and moss as the substrate (the moss is covering half of the land area). My question is, the eco earth, even after being misted, is still very fluffy/grainy and not only was sticking to my hands, but it also sticking to them. I'm worried about them ingesting it? How can I prevent that from happening?

    Thank you! :)

I had a similar concern with my pacman frog (especially considering he has an underbite)
What i do is I flatten the substrate with a flat bottomed tool (could be anything from a bottle to a book) The idea is to put enough pressure to pack it down. Some substrate will stick to their bodies, that's unavoidable. But if you give them a really flat surface to live on, ingestion of substrate becomes less likely
