    a little help please......
i have been breeding rats now for a while and have always done it by keeping all my rats together in a 1.3 ratio and have had very few problems, now i got some new rats and i have lost 3-4 good size litters due to one of the rats eating the babies, why is this? should i just cull out these ones that are eating the babies? if so should i do away with all of them or just the momma? all my rats eat the same diet and all have about the same size litters. thanks for your help the search button didnt really give me answer i was looking for:gj:

why not just kill the one?
    maybe try birthing racks?
    maybe cull the tub completely...

    all options.

Exactly, if you know which one is eating babies feed it off/cull it!

The most common reason for cannibalism is not getting enough nutrition in their diets (which doesn't sound like the problem).. but some rats just seem to like eating pinkies for no reason.
