just got 2 ferrets and own snakes??????

ok i had to take over 2 ferrets and i have a few balls and a boa. i know i should wash and all but should i be worried about anything? thanks

not unless u feed them ferrets lol, just wash your hands and youll be good

yeah ill wash up lol. what about the fact that i can smell them on me still? (on my shirt) should i change all the time?

I have two ferrets in the same room as the majority of my snakes, I just make sure everything is locked real tight, and never let them play unsupervised. The snakes don't seem to be enticed by ferret smell (and neither am I for that matter, hahaha).

You also need to be worried about the snakes.
Ferrets are/can be predators. Some people have no problems with their ferrets being aggressive toward other species, but I also know people who have had ferrets get out and kill guinea pigs, chinchillas, snakes, rats, birds, etc.
Just personally, I'd have the ferrets in a completely separate part of the house for that reason.

as long as they arnt eating ferret then they shouldent recognize it as a food scent lol.

i agree about ferrets being preditors id never let em pla in a snake room, they get into everything a nd could unplug or chew something and u might not notice till its to late. im silly tho and think if possible snakes should have there own locked room but hey thats just me :P

yeah my ferrets are in my rodent room so they should ever be together, was just kinda worried about the sent thing and wasnt to sure thanks you guys:gj:

yeah id make sure both are still contained well because a ferret will kill and eat rats/rodents lol.. i know alot mof people who feed em natural diets like rats
