Look at what I just picked up!
Well I just picked up another DIY incubator! But this one is better than the 120 quart Igloo cooler I'm still working on. This is a Pepsi fridge with some Budweiser stickers on it. The light and fan all work, just need to get some more shelves in there. I'm so excited, I've been looking for one of these for a while now. Then I came across this one and got it for $40.00! :D I love the windows on the sides. I will post pictures when its done.

Be wary of the fan. Alot of times once you get the incubator set up and running, you will notice that your temps are higher than you set them, and you can't figure out why they won't come down. Alot of times this is due to the fan motor body is putting out alot of heat, and the fans then distribute that heat. In an old incubator I built, I had to remove the original fans and put computer fans in that didn't generate heat. Just thought I would give you a hint I learned the hard way. I scratched my head for almost a week trying to figure that one out (finally shot the temps on the fan bodies with a temp gun, and saw 120 degrees).

Hope that helps and congrats on your new project.

Now that you say that, I can see how that would happed. That did slip my mind. I do have some computer fans though, will use them instead!

    thanks,

I had the same problem. I put in 2 computer fans and it's been perfect!
