BP tries to kill me?

Just curious, but my BP is really nice and all but when she goes around my neck she kinda squeezes like really hard haha, to the point that i have to loosen her grip or i'll passout.

haha, i just mean are they doing it for warmth or instinct, or actually trying to harm me? hmmm

They're trying to keep from falling off! These are terrestrial animals - not climbers.

I suggest you don't let your snake wrap around your neck. You can drape him around your shoulders or have one hand on his tail at all times. His tail is his weakest point, so if he is wrapped tightly on anything, you can grab his tail to unwrap him.

These guys can be surprisingly strong and have the capability of squeezing your windpipe. You can find yourself in a lot of trouble.

I might let mine hand around my shoulder at times but i dont let him around my neck muchless my boa. now a large boa i had to put over my shoulder but you should never let a snake even a adult ball around your neck. They dont know there own strength. There just holding on to feel secure. the ball python is alot stronger that what it appears.

...Maybe don't put it around your neck?

We let ours around our necks but if we get up to walk around then they will squeeze more....it is just to feel secure. We have one that if you get up to put her back in she will squeeze the bejeezus out of you as if to say....noooooooooo I wanna stay out and watch tv.:rolleyes:

And im sure the the BP was trying to harm you...you wouldnt be sitting at the computer asking this question lol.

okay lol well she is pretty small and not a real threat, I would definitly not put it around my neck as she gets bigger! LOL
