    Ceramic Heat Emitter wattage question
Would a 60 watt Ceramic Heat emitter bulb positioned 1 ft above a 55 gallon aquarium be strong enough to raise the ambient temp from 70F to 80F?

I doubt it, you may need a 100-150 watt ceramic heater to boost the ambient air temperature that much.

I use 150 watt CHEs to heat my 18x18x2' and 2'x18'x2' glass screen-top exo terras.

I run them on rheostats and don't have them on all the way, and am able to bump the ambient temps from 60 to upper 70s with a basking spots directly underneath that are pretty toasty.
