    Highest temp on warm side
Hey I noticed my temp in my hot hide was at 95.2 and its climbing slowly but will stop at 96 flat, is this too hot or....?

YES too high, 94 at the top is better. The other issue is MOST thermometers are only good to +/- 2 degrees and IR are the same or more (many it is +/- 4º ) so unless you have an accurate thermometer (you will know by price basically you pay for accuracy!) Based on that I'd never go higher than 92 (90-94 range or so...)

Check out the plethora of care sheets here and on the web in general, they all will tell you a temp ranges there are some variations but I don't think I have seen anything over 94 ever.

Yeah i try to keep mine between 88 and 92 just so i have a little bit of leeway. Anything over 94 starts to get worrying. If you can keep it high 80's that's fine!

What are the bad things that can happen due to the high temps?

No a Thermostat is used to control the heating device. A dimmer switch is also used in cases where money is an issue.
