I'm getting another one, I'm getting another one!

We talked about it, talked about it some more, and we're adopting a 3ft long female normal from Craigslist. Hopefully we'll be picking her up sometime this week. I'll post pictures when we get her (I'm buying a digital camera specifically to take pictures of the snakes). We're also going to the zoo here in Indy, hopefully I'll be able to feast my eyes on some beautiful specimens there!

Congratulations! Be sure to make sure to get her sexed just to be sure if you're picking her up because she's a female. If it doesn't matter, than no biggie! I've gone to see a few females from Craigslist that turn out to be males instead (most are told that they sexed them based on spurs or tail size - but never from popping or probing).

And be sure to practice quarantine from your other one!

I would love for it to be female (Previous owner said it was probed so here's hoping), but I'm really not going to be upset if it turns out to be male. We're discussing moving into a larger apartment when our lease here is up, and if we do, the spare bedroom will be turned into a snake room if I have my way..my girl won't mind, but I don't know what her grandmother will think, haha.

About the Indy zoo...you will definitely see some cool snakes there. The overall size of the Indy zoo leaves more to be desired but they do have a nice collection of snakes there.:gj:

Well, unfortunately, we had a situation arise that called for spending the money we planned for the snake on something else, so we're putting that off for awhile. I still plan on going to the zoo and posting pictures of Gene when I get a decent camera, though.
