    Florida Kingsnake husbrandry requirements?
    Quick question:

Do the Florida Kingsnakes have the same care requirements as a California kingsnake? 88-90F warm side and 70-75 ambient/cold side? 40+% humidity? 41Q tub for an adult?

Sounds good. Only problem with the tub size is getting that kind of temp gradient. Unless you keep your house really cool, you will have a hard time getting the cool side down to 70 with a hot spot of 88-90.

Temp gradient is not a problem. The tub is currently at 86 hot side and 71-73 cool side. Our apartment is pretty much kept at 70 in the winter. We all like it cold! So cold, in fact, that I had to run repti heat cable throughout the ball pythons spot in the rack to keep her ambient temp above 78! haha

My only concern is humidity. For some reason the humidity wont go below 67%. Aspen bedding, 41Q tub with 16 holes total drilled in the front and back part of the tub for ventilation because the tub is pretty much square with the rack ceiling. From what ive read this shouldnt be a problem. What do you think?

2nd question: I've read differing care sheets for florida kings and some recommend 85-86 hot side and some 88-90 hot side along with 70-75 cool side to 76-84 cool side. I'm inclined to think that 70-75 is fine for the cool but what about the hot? I've got it at 86 right now just to be safe but any advice would be appreciated!

Those temps should be fine. I wouldn't worry so much about the humidity. You cannot get an accurate guage on humidity from a consumer product and the instruments that are accurate enough are expensive.
