    Constant Red Light heating
hey guys just curious what everyone thought of 24/7 red light heating, heard some different opinions just want to see what yall think. My new boa is under 24/7 red lighting and was basically just curious if there could be any draw backs to this?

I use a ceramic heat emitter my self but honestly I think red light is fine, I just find the red light to be bothersome to me.

Not a problem aslong as you are not having humidity problems

Yeah, only drawback is humidity problems, but this also depends on your setup. A standard, unmodified glass tank will be very dry, while it may not affect other setups as much. You definitely want to keep an eye on the humidity level, though.

A large water dish under the heat lamp helps. So does covering majority of the lid.

    Re: Constant Red Light heating
My humidity is good, 50-60%, I have heard a lot of people complain about glass tanks, I haven't had a problem with humidity at all, i just soak a couple paper towels and put it under the lamp and keeps me right in the sweet spot. I will change him to a tub when he gets a bit bigger, Im going to a rack system in the near future so this is only temporary anyways. Thanks for all your input :D
