She got big... fast!

    She got big... fast!
    So the last time I measured/weighed her was in the middle of september and she came in at 22 inches and 200g. Now 1.5 months later, she's 28 inches and 350g.

    Do snakes have the same growth spurt phase as humans? How long does it usually last?

    She is looking nice and thick!! They grow depending on how much they eat. They eat more they grow faster, they eat less and they grow not as fast.

    From my experience the "spurt" is normally from 200 to 700 or so. They get off all that baby food and move to big boy meals.

    I would say the growth spurt lasts until a 1000 grams for a female and 800 grams for a male. That has been my experience!

    Some snakes will keep growing even past 1000 quickly, but mostly once they hit 1000 grams, it slows down a ton.
