    They've been locking but now what?
    Okay first time breeding they've been locking (pastel male proven x granite female) how long should I start to see egg production and what are the signs she's shed once already about 3 weeks ago maybe 2 and is going through another shed now so any help would e greatly appreciated

    sent by two homing pigeons!!

    I know a lot of breeders keep the males in until they see ovulation, but i'll let the more experienced people make the final call. I would say still keep him in on the 3 days on, 3 days off, granted he keeps eating.

    He's been off feed since first pairing lol but breeds like a beast and hadn't lost any weight

    When I see they lock ... I take out the male to give a rest then i introduce him again a week after ;) if they don't lock... I take him out at day 3 n try again another 3 days ... :)
