I work in a pet store and we have this feisty little burm. He's not more that 2 1/2 feet. Anyways, this little guy will strike at anything. Any tips for making him more docile? I try to take him out every time I work and get him accustomed to people, but He's bit me well over 40 times. ( I wear gloves. haha)

try put him in a very low traffic enviroment if you can and leave him be for a while and see if he settles down.

Yep, handle handle handle, try and keep his environment as stress free as possible. Although as with any animal, sometimes you just get a feisty one.

I wouldn't count on calming him down. Most of them will strike when they are young, but usually calm down once you are holding them. To have one that has nailed you 40 times? I would give up hope LOL.

When I first got mine he got me every day for weeks. It took alot of handleing (and blood) to get him to calm down but he did. It also helps to go at him low rather than from above. I guess its less intimadating.

I handled my first burm a few weeks ago ... bam bit my arm within seconds of me touching the fella . He was only a few months old . Just gotta give these guys some age to calm down.

I bought two from Brandon Ramos and they have been the best snakes ive ever had. They have not tried to bite or anything. They hiss every once in awhile but thats it. They are not even head shy. I think it just depends on the snake
