    MESSY bad shed
Marbles went blue then cleared. So I waited, and yesterday I saw zillions of pieces of shed. I misted him. Today he still had a lot of shed stuck, so he went swimming. That was an adventure, he kept trying to climb out of the tub, either up my arm, or up onto the faucet. He was not happy but very gentle, not headshy when I dunked his head & neck to make sure they got soaked too. Then I ran my hands along his body very gently, and most of the shed came off. As usually I had to flick it off his tail tip (it sticks there even when he has a perfect shed otherwise, and I think he had a tiny tailtip injury because the last 3 mm of his tail is kind of lumpy which makes the shed cling to it). Finally, the bathtub is full of pieces of shed and he's about 90% clean so I gave up because I felt like I had bothered him enough for the evening.

Tomorrow he will go for another nice lukewarm bath and hopefully I'll get the rest of it.

He did get his head with eyecaps off all by himself perfectly, so no issues there. I misted him while he was blue & after he cleared but I guess it wasn't enough. Next time he goes blue I will try placing a second water bowl on the hot side.

try soaking him in a tub with a lid (under supervision). Its a lot easier to clean than your bathtub.

Cleaning the tub wasn't bad afterward. Wipe out pieces of shed. Spray with spray cleaner with bleach, let sit, rinse.

The bleach smell is well vented because the windows are open & the ambient temp is in the 50s. I'm brumating my adult corns IN my apartment because I leave it at 55F all winter, so it's a good way to cool them.

It was more the million little shreds of shed in the tub that looked so messy to me!

The zilla shed ez wooork very well...When my snakes start to cloud up..I spray em and it usually comes off fine. Or they have a solution you can put in a bath and soak em for like 15 and it takes it right off if it doesnt come with the shed ez

When I know my snakes are going into shed I always take a wet washcloth and put it over their warm hide in the tub. This just assists in upping the humidity a bit. Plus they can rub on it......;)

That's a really good idea! Can I use it?
