    AP Now Manufactures Incubators-$799

Our first model measures 72"x24"x24" and holds 16 tubs that are 12qt in size. AP incubators are designed to use the Spider Robotics or Helix thermostat which are sold separately. We will be updating our website within the next few days, in the mean time, please feel free to email or call us for more information.

More you spend dont mean Better. I like having ones I build so if something goes wrong i know right where i need to attack first.

These newer ones along with Laboratory ones get complex with their design and when something dies or malfunctions your clutch could be in major jeopardy.

One you build yourself for half the cost of a pre-built.

You dont need to build some fancy cabinet style incubator, you can just buy a big cooler(about 100qt+), line the bottom with heat tape(I use 11" flexwatt), run all the wiring through the drain hole in the cooler, attach a herpstat prop. thermostat. and boom you're done! I also put a spacer between the heat tape and the tubs in mine in the form of a layer of the cheap store bought water bottles and a layer of eggcrate and I also run a small fan in there for air circulation. Mine cost approximately $250 to build including the thermostat and holds up to 6 clutches(I think? I've only ever put 4 in there)

    Jon,

How many clutches can you get in one of those? I have been thinking about the Natures Spirit one for this year. Still undecided though for sure.

I actually saw an incubator at the local Tractor Supply Store that is designed for chicken egg incubation, but I'm thinking it might also double for a cheaper alternative for a python incubator. I'm going to check into them further next time I'm there...

I use pretty big boxes and can get about 14 in one.
