    ok im vary interested in keeping hots there amazing looking and its very inpressive how there venom works. but the only proplem is i have no experiance with them. i am not in any kinda of hurry to learn i would like to learn as much as i possably can and was wondering how or were hot keepers learn to handle them. im not just gonna get one and try to learn my self i would like to learn the safest way posable.
    iv been keeping snakes for a few years now iv never been taged by any of them .. i know im not ready for hots iv never been in contact with them thats why i say this
    so the ? how did you learn to handle hots

    I don't keep hots and never will however I have handled and taken care of them in a veterinary setting and also when I was working at a nature center and the Bronx Zoo. The best way to learn is to volunteer at a zoo or to find a mentor that responsibly keeps Hots.

    One thing I truly urge you to do is read everything you can, also don't learn from some one who thinks that they can hold their hots ( you'd be amazed at some people) You need to be taught how to use a hook and restraint tubes.
