Ball Pythons too outgoing? (Picture Hassle!)
Do any of you own Ball Pythons that are just too outgoing?
I just got a new camera and wanted to take pictures of all my Balls, but the main problem I had was that they wouldn't stay still! I would put my fingers on their head to try to get them to ball up, but they are too used to me! I was yelling at them to live up to their name and ball up, but it just wasn't happening. I had to be super quick with the camera to even try to get them in the frame.
Any one else seem to have this frustrating problem? :D

Ella's the same way. I'd have a lot more pics of her here if I could get her to hold still. I like that she's confident and not fearful, but it does make picture taking a pain in the butt! :P

Freeze a metal bowl - put your snake under that bowl for about a minute (out of the freezer of course). Remove bowl and take pictures quickly. :)

Mine has a love affair with the orange light that goes on when my camera is focusing. I swear he freaks out over it, trying to find the source of it and rubbing up against the lens and such. It's so funny!

Be ready to photograph them before grabbing them and setting them down quickly, you should try rats, they can be just as difficult to get to cooperate :P
Great tip Robin, now just what size bowl do you suggest for a 3100 gram female :D

Huh, never thought about that one bit. Will definitely have to try that. How long do you have to take the pic once you remove the bowl?

I can't get any pics of my pied for this very reason. Good tip Robin. Have you had any issues with one getting stuck though (same principle as getting your tongue stuck to a pole)?
