    Dropping temps for ball ?
Lets say the male is just a great lover period, is it necessary to drop temps for the couple? I mean is it bad for the male or female in anyway? Real facts and past experiences would be great.
    thanks

I never change the temps. on my thermostats during breeding. The cool spot temp. might drop a bit if the weather gets colder. And my bp's breed fine, haven't had any problems.

I've heard that too. But it hasn't happened to me. But in my case, they're cool side temps. drop. So maybe that's why it hasn't happened to me. If they have a cool side that the temps. can get lower, than i don't see a problem. Plus, I've read a lot of post's of other breeders saying they don't drop temps. for breeding. Remember, if you drop the temps. too low you run the risk of your snakes getting RI.

The question still remains unanswered! Does not lowering temps for breeding cause females to reabsorb follicles, or not produce them? Does anyone have any proof that it might do this? Or is it just rumored?
So many people say that it must happen, otherwise they don't know to breed. So many others say they never do anything for changing temps, and it doesn't cause any problems. So what's the deal? Is there any proof, one way or the other, that dropping temps is really of benefit to breeding?
