Dropping temps for ball ?
Lets say the male is just a great lover period, is it necessary to drop temps for the couple? I mean is it bad for the male or female in anyway? Real facts and past experiences would be great.
thanks
Re: Dropping temps for ball ?
I never change the temps. on my thermostats during breeding. The cool spot temp. might drop a bit if the weather gets colder. And my bp's breed fine, haven't had any problems.
Re: Dropping temps for ball ?
I guess im asking because ive heard that the female doesnt produce follicals or that she can lose them?? if u dont lower the temps.

I've heard that too. But it hasn't happened to me. But in my case, they're cool side temps. drop. So maybe that's why it hasn't happened to me. If they have a cool side that the temps. can get lower, than i don't see a problem. Plus, I've read a lot of post's of other breeders saying they don't drop temps. for breeding. Remember, if you drop the temps. too low you run the risk of your snakes getting RI.
