struggling?
Hi I recently posted about the concern of my ball pythons prey, well i accidentally posted it at around 230grams but its actuall 480 grams, and i fed it a small rat, and it eats its but takes between 6-10 min trying to eat its food, is that normal? for it to take a while?

My boa sometimes takes 20-30 mins. Pretty sure it's normal.

My boa takes forever too!
My BP's take about 5-10 minutes normally. Sometimes quicker, sometimes longer.

Yeah, mine is slow to eat too, but he's always hungry and he always keeps his food down, so it's no cause for alarm. As long as they get the food down, and they keep it down, it's fine. Some eat faster than others, just like people.

Lol my guy likes to constrict it forever then he will look at it, lick it, cuddle with it, rub his face on it, pretty much almost making love to it before he eats it!! It's the funniest thing ever!! Last nite he didn't though, he had it down in 5 mins Which I totally didn't expect.
