    What now?
So I've had a couple litters and I'm starting to see a flaw in my rack maybe? My baby rats seem to be either weaned off of mother or very very very close to it. Now my problem is that they are small and I don't know if they can reach the top of the rack where the food is... Did I do something wrong or should I just add in more bedding or what do I do? Throw the food just on top of the bedding?

Just add some thing into the tub with them that would enable them to reach the water and food. We have 2 bowls in our grow out tub, one under the water and one under the food. Only need it when we have newly weaned ones. As they get a little older they wont need it. Actually once they figure out where the food and water is they can actually jump up and get to it on there own.

I start the weaning process by throwing in food to the babies at 3 weeks old.
By wean I move the moms and keep the litter together in a grow up tub and give them ramekins turned upside down to stand on to reach water and food.
By the time they are 5/6 weeks old they can get the food on their own usually.

    Wood
I've put wood in their tubs before but they seem to get urine soaked pretty quick... would that be a health problem or no?

    How high are your tubs?

I find that the weaners can get to the feed and water on the six inch tubs no problem. They don't have a very good time of it on the eight inch tubs though LOL.
