Tub help please
i am about to try a tub, i have one thats 26x18x6 i have an uth one it with thermostat, but the thermostat has three plugs so i have to UTH hooked to it is that ok? its a newtek on off therm. Also i am using reptibark as a substrate, and i just put it in there and the humidity after i have put about 22 holes around the sides with a solder iron the humidity is still 77 WTF how many holes do i need? can i put holes in the lid?

Give the tub some time to settle and see what the humidity is after some time. Holes drilled in the top will let more humiidty out(in general), but you can drill them in the top. You can always put more along the sides later if the humidity is still high. Is the water dish over the UTH? If so, try moving it further away and see if that lowers the humidity before drilling more holes.

Re: Tub help please
you can always downsize the water dish as well. switching to paper towels or newspaper always lowers the humidity to, just doesen't have the aesthetics of bark, :P!

Try aspen substrate and see if that helps you with the humidity.
Yes, you can plug in as many UTH's in a thermostat below the thermostat's max wattage capacity. But, the thermostat only comes with one probe, so it only monitors one heat source and adjusts all heat sources plugged to it. So, it works best if all the UTHs have the same wattage and all your enclosures attached to the thermostat is of the same size/type/set-up. Then your heat variation between enclosures is not too different.
