    sorry about the glass having water spots ive been misting trying to keep the humidity up.

    Looks good althought i would switch over to cypress so you wont have to mist as often. That repti bark doesn't hold humidity well at all!!

    thank you very much also i wanted to ask about the correct temperature i should have my tank, i hear many different things some say 80 on warm and i hear some say 90 on the warm side which is correct?

    Definitely cover your screen lid with foil as Dr Del suggested. You'll notice a big difference in your humidity and also it helps with the temps. Lose the lamp as heat lamps kill your humidity levels especially in the winter when the furnace is running as well.

    Yeah my friends have a 55 gallon with screen lid with a 3 year old ball python in it. The use cypress and have a large water bowl. They cover the top of the screen with a towel folded over itself longways and it keeps a consistent 50-60% humidity with misting only once a week or so. Tin foil does the same job and can look cleaner, but sometimes convenience just wins over looks when it comes to animals.

    But the hot spot should be between 88-94. If it's 87 or so, that's fine just if you can control it easily, bump the hot end up a little bit. I have also seen ball pythons with lower hot spots do fine in captivity, but digestion is slower.
