9in & 4in beardie's together
could i successfully introduce a 4in nose to tail female beardie into a viv which has already got a 8in nose to tail male?

There will be dominance issues housing any two beardies together. You'd also need a huge viv when they get bigger. Also, they might fight over food, the good basking spots etc if they're both dominant personalities. Also, the male is going to reach maturity a lot sooner as was mentioned by jfreels. If the female isn't big enough by that time or isn't sexually mature, you run the risk of her getting egg bound which is deadly. You also have the issue of if one gets sick, the other's probably going to get sick. Or if one gets sick you don't know which one it is so you'll be spending more taking them both to the vet to figure out which one it is. If one stops eating you'll have a hard time figuring that out also. It's always a good idea to keep reptiles housed separately in my opinion. Best of luck with the beardies!

I wouldn't try it, there may only be a 5 inch difference, but you are talking about a four inch dragon!! And the female is the smaller of the two, that lil girl will be freakin out lol, especially once the male figures out he is male...
