Best cage for being in a non-reptile room?
My boyfriend and I are getting a Banana Iguana early next year and we are trying to find the best cage for him. We want to put him in our front room, which has an average temp of about 74 degrees, so we're lookin to see what cages are kind of "all inclusive" in terms of heat.

Is there a cage that will keep the cage's ambient temperature warmer than the room temperature? Or is there a way to make the ambient temperature stay warm enough, such as with more heat options in the cage?

the easiest and best thing I can think of is to get a cage that has as little top ventilation as possible and has most of the ventilation on the sides of the cage to prevent heat from escaping out the top of the cage

We're gonna end up getting this cage:

Thank you for the response. We're also going to build him an outside enclosure for during the daytime a few days a week, but that will be made of screen and whatnot.

You can look at cages by design...very expensive but they are amazing. My husband builds my cages and we are currently getting ready to work on a large one for our iguanna. We are actually building it into a half wall in the house. It will be 3 sides of glass. We like to try to build our cages to go with our decor and our furniture so it looks as though it is part of the house.
