0.1 Pastel het Clown Feeding issues
So I bought this girl....she is a juvenile, but they had been feeding her one, yes, one small mouse every week. So she was a little thin. I've had her for a couple of months, and she would only eat one small mouse....never more. So I have been feeding her every 5 days, just like the little guys. I've offered rats every time, from weanlings to smalls, but she is afraid of them. I've scented them with mice, made them a little bloody, etc. no dice. SO last week, when she refused, I did not give in and give her the mouse. Tough luck sister:). Even a little thin(she is 289g and about 20 inches), she can miss 2 or 3 meals before I give in. I fed them tonight, and made her wait till last, cause she was cruising HARD....lol. offered her a good size weanling rat, and she hit it in just a few seconds! So now I'm afraid to even breathe, right? I shut off the lights and give them 45 minutes or so. I went back in to check, and sure enough, the little turkey ate it:). Keeping my fingers crossed we have started down a new road and she can put her weight on:)
