Sure, whatever, that's adorable.
It doesn't get me any closer to a panda pied, but it's adorable.

Does anybody have any suggestions? The black pastel was all over that pied last winter, when she was 900 grams and way too small. But now that she's up to size, he's lost his mojo.
I already tried throwing the het pied male in there to spice things up, and all that got me was three snakes cozying up under the hide instead of two. No locks anywhere. Any other ideas I can try?

Not sure if it matters or not, but I would lose the hide. In my experience if I leave the hide in the cage the snakes just lay in the hide. When there is no hide they tend to explore more and I seem to get more locks.

Is he producing sperm plugs? If not he is not wanting to get his mojo on :P.If he is producing them take one and place it on the females back to intice him into thinking another male is trying to take his time with her away.

He was producing them last winter, and he's over 1000 grams right now--the pied girl is 1500 grams, and you can see he's not too much smaller. If he's not making plugs, what does that mean? That it's just too early in the season still?

as early in the "Season" as it is I wouldn't worry your male is a year older and sometimes that can cause them to slow down as they get older..
- Remove the hide
- Mist them an hour or so after you pair them
- pair the day after feeding
- cool your males down alittle more

Well it might take him a little longer to remember what he is supposed to be doing this year.If you pop him it should show if he is producing sperm plugs yet :gj:

Just give him some time. Maybe the second time you pair them up something will happen. Or maybe he like's to cuddle before he gets his groove on. lol

ARG, almost! Almost! C'mon, George, you can do it...

... I took the hide out, and the het pied male. I think George flubbed this one too, but at least it looks like he's got his mojo back on.
This actually is his second pairing of the season. I paired them two weeks ago, and I swear the pied was more into him than he was into her--she kept flicking him and sticking her head under his coils. Then he went into shed, and she was actually only 1450 grams, so I thought I'd give them both some time off. But both of them refused food this week, and we had a cold snap over the weekend.
And every one else has locks to show for it! WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT, GEORGE?

He can be locked in her like that
