I've bought plenty of cages used. I usually use pure bleach on the first cleaning, wipe it off real good and then use a bleach water mix on the next cleaning. I clean anything used twice just because I feel better about it, but that is your personal choice. With the tubs, they get three cleanings around here, the third I just use dish soap and water to make sure there is not too much bleach left behind in the tubs.

What I would do if it was me,

I would rinse out each tub, put straight bleach in them, rinse that off, then scrub the tub with soap and water, and finally rinse that off. Never can be too careful.

Or I would just buy new tubs if you could find the sizes anywhere, unless those are custom made tubs for the rack.

To clean the actual rack, I would normally just take Lysol or a disinfectant and spray down the shelves and rack.
