Looks like a dumbo. Will probably brown out as it gets older. Most of mine do.

Re: Identify this rat.
His name is Jerome.
He's a blue dumbo.
Mine stay like that for their entire lives. The males do get some brown hairs, but they stay blue.
If you want absolutes, ask Connie, aka mylittleindiangirl. She's the best with this stuff.

That's definitely a Blue Dumbo. I just had a Mama Blue birth a litter of these this past week. Not all of them are completely blue though. I have some Blue Rex's as well!
Nice looking rat!

Re: Identify this rat.
my rats ears look similar, they don't look as dumboed out as some in the stores or pictures online, but compared to his regular eared buddy they are significantly different. theyre easier to tell in real life:
Could be a Blue/Blue Agouti/ or straight up Agouti coat, hard to tell from the pictures. Definitely a dumbo, good luck with that one!! Looks like a keeper to me!

I just wanted a second opinion in case I went straight up retarded for a moment. I have been a HUGE debate with some shyster over on Fauna trying to sell blue dumbos for $50 each. Apparently, my Russian blue dumbos are "sewer rats" and his rats are "rare true blue co-dominant dumbos".
Its actually pretty funny. I'm having a good time with it LOL.

In the picture I saw on fauna they did look much browner than blue and not really like the guy in this picture.
But, he is a blue dumbo as far as I know.
