Young Male stopped Eating all of a sudden
Ive got a June 2010 Cinnamon Male. Hes up at 350g right now. He went into shed last week. Shed yesterday. And hasnt taken a meal since the 12th. You think this is because its near breeding season? Hes been such a strong feeder on Weaned Rats and now he stopped taking them and wont take a soft fur either. F/T or live.

The 12th was only 10 days ago nothing to worry about offer food once a week and make sure your husbandry is optimal (temps, humidity, cage enclosure etc).

Again 10 days is nothing and given it just shed it can very well be the reason of his refusal.

Yeah sorry forgot it was only 2 feeding cycles. Husbandry is good. I keep everything in a rack with a Herpstat on the heat tape and the room itself is temp controlled to 80*. All the snakes have been thriving for me so far. This was my first one to refuse his meal for 2 feeding cycles. Ill just keep offering every 5 days with the others.

Keep offering every 5 days with the others and start offering every 7 days with this one.

Will do. It was just a shock to me since hes been such a good eater and has been shedding each month for me. Shed 3-4 times now and he always ate during shedding before. Probably just his appetite changing a little bit as hes growing up. Thanks Deborah.

    Welcome to ball pythons.
They skip meals. It happens. Nothing to worry about.
