    British navy - PEBKAC
    Hi,

What a bunch of muppets.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...s-aground.html

70.8% of the planet is covered in water and they manage to miss.

This in the week the government decides to stick with an order for two aircraft carriers we don't need because it is cheaper than canceling them while scrapping the one we do have that works fine.

Then, to put the tin lid on it, they anounce they are scrapping the aircraft we use on the carriers ( harriers - amazing aircraft ) and there will be no replacement for at least nine years.

So. Scrap the ship that we know works, has a full crew and compliment of planes and arms, and is needed, replace it with two we think might work and plan on leasing out to the French anyway because an aircraft carrier with no areoplanes will obviously be so useful it will be in high demand.

    :slamhead:

I swear this country would have a better defense strategy if we made the local drunk do it in his spare time.

Sorry just had to rant.
