Blood Python is reluctant to poo...
My blood is always reluctant to defecate, she seems to regularly go months at a time without bowel movements or even urates being released. I have had to resort to tail tickling and swimming the snake to get her to poo, 6 months after I first got her I even brought her to the vet for a snake enema!:O

Does anyone else have a snake that likes to hold it this long on a regular basis like mine does?

Other than this she is very healthy, growing steadily and eating every time food is offered, the problem is the food goes in but never comes out, and you start to wonder where the snake is storing the last 15 or so medium rats she ate...

That is the best quality of my SSTP's...It's shocking at first because you have to clean all other cages, but theirs remain nice and...But as they get bigger you will experience times where you will want them to poo more often, because some of the explosions are HUGE!!! I think I one that ate 8 or 9 meals before pooping...IMHO, this is normal and a part of them I really like...:D:D

Not unusual with bloods that age most important is that your snake is well hydrated to prevent serious blockage.

Some blood are a bit reluctant to drink which is why changing water often is recommended.

Dont worry about it too much. Blood are notorious for going LONG periods of time without defecating. My blood, was eating a medium sized rat every 7 days FOR 9 MONTHS before she finally pooped. Man oh man was it a sight to see...
