Yeah farm bred is a risk you take with Chondro's but a lot of the time they end up being great snakes. My male is about 5 years old and was farm bred and a yellow neo. Now he is a awesome deep green with few white speckles and eats ferociously, i cut him back since he has such a strong feeding response.

with that kind of a eating response doesnt sound like a male sounds like a female? have u probed it yet?

Yeah I am not for farmbred these guys were offered to me for a steal and I was a sucker.. but what can I say... normally I am the first to say u get what u pay for ... I love my GTP I bought from greg maxwell the quality of the animal is impressive but like I said the deal was hard to pass up... plus wait till u see the wamena I got too..

I think you're in for a long haul if you're expecting it to eat that penny off of your tongs there...:)

Cool chondro though - I'm not familiar with Lerahs...is that diffused stripe pretty typical or would that be considered a blaze coloration? I hatched out one blaze a few years ago out of a clutch of 36 but the diffuse red was all over the body. It looked like somebody shot it with some rusty-colored spray paint.
