    rat for ball python
I got a rat was larger than I normally get. I fed it to my ball python it had a little more trouble than normal but it killed it and was half way threw rat, I noticed that it had a small laceration I guess where rat may had bit a maybe clawed the snake. will the snake hurt itself if the rat is to large for it?
    Hope this question make sense.

No, don't worry about it. I always freak when I change feeder sizes too, but it's really not that big of a deal. Snakes aren't dumb, they won't hurt themselves by eating something too big.

If the rat is GIGANTIC it won't even try, but if it's just slightly larger than normal it will manage.
