Picking up late 09 male pastel
This will be my first morph. Buying it from a friend/breeder. I have a normal female at home already. If bred together, what can I expect from a male pastel and female norm?

    you can expect statistically
    50% Pastels
    50% Normals

Yeah half and half, just remember that since there are so many different degrees of Pastels, that you could produce some that look like normals, also some that are very light as babies brown out a ton as they age. Just make sure it's a good quality pastel, cause you'll have a lot of trouble selling low quality pastels since everyone has them.

The odds are per egg not per clutch so that is a 50/50 chance per egg!

Cool, I don't really care, either way I'd be happy, all normals I not. It would just make me happy for my first time to have a healthy clutch!

He is pretty brown for a one year old pastel! He does have a nice pattern though!

Is he worth buying for $100?

That is one heck of a browned out ball python, i would pass. That definitely looks like one of those craigslist specials where someone sells their very low quality pastel cause they got bored of it.

I wouldn't do it, cause honestly, even though hes in shed, hes still a very low quality pastel. Spend your money well on a pastel with better colors.

I would almost consider him a normal due to the low amount of yellowing on the belly. Save up and you could even get a Super Pastel for like $350-400 for a male and have an amazing snake!
